A special version for transporting dangerous goods (gases and flammable liquids) has appeared in the range of modifications of the Valdai 45 main tractor. The manufacturer has already started accepting orders for the new product.
The specialized Valdai 45 is equipped with an automated engine compartment fire extinguishing system, additional fire extinguishers, a tachograph that meets the requirements of ADR (road transport of dangerous goods), a satellite transport monitoring system, a speed limiter and a remote battery switch.
Also, the new version includes a video surveillance system consisting of four cameras. Two of them are designed to monitor the road situation and the cabin, and the second pair is for the rear view. Recordings from the cameras are saved to a hard drive or flash card.
To improve the visibility of the tractor, flashing beacons and warning signs are provided. The driver is provided with an ADR kit (respirators, reflective vests and emergency lights).
The tractor received a 470 hp diesel engine and an automated 12-speed transmission.
Sales of Valdai 45 from GAZ Group started in Russia in December 2023. This tractor is designed for long-distance transportation with a gross train weight of up to 45 tons and is compatible with most semi-trailers. The tractor is one of the main competitors of KamAZ K5/K5+.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a prototype of the Valdai-45 LNG tractor with an LNG engine was demonstrated at the forum in St. Petersburg.
