Earlier, flight WZ-3091 Novosibirsk – Mattala (Sri Lanka) returned to Tolmachevo Airport due to a signal from the automatic cabin pressure control system. This required a revision of the aircraft usage schedule and replacement of aircraft on other routes.

Flight WZ-3097 is now operated on a Tu-204 with a technical stopover in Turkmenabad. The stopover time is one hour, while passengers will not remain on the plane.

Tour operators working with Red Wings promptly made changes to their booking systems to preserve previously booked tours and minimize inconvenience to tourists. The airline has extended the accommodation of passengers in hotels while waiting for the flight.

Tu-204 is a Russian short- and medium-range passenger aircraft, accommodating 150–210 passengers. It is used on domestic and international routes and is equipped with modern engines and control systems.
