"Svod" Will Unite Russian Military in a Single Digital Field

Advanced System Will Provide Access to Maps, Satellite Images, and Meteorological Data

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov announced the introduction of the "Svod" system into the troops. It will unite officials from platoon to formation in a single protected information space.

The system will allow military personnel to receive up-to-date data in real time. Soldiers and officers will be able to use weather reports, mapping services, satellite images, and information about the air and ground situation. All this will increase the level of information awareness at the tactical and operational level.

According to Belousov, "Svod" works with trusted devices and ensures secure interaction between different units. This year, the system underwent trial combat operation in the "Center" group of troops. The test results were recognized as successful, which made it possible to plan a phased implementation in all groups of troops by September 2026.

Such digital solutions make it possible to speed up decision-making in combat situations, reduce the risk of errors and increase the efficiency of resource management. "Svod" creates a single information field where commanders of different levels can see the current picture of the actions of their units and quickly respond to changes.
