Belarusian authorities intend to purchase passenger aircraft of Russian production. This was stated by the President of the Republic, Alexander Lukashenko, at the meeting of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly.
According to him, previously 2-3 aircraft stood in the parking lot at the airport. Now all the aircraft are involved, and there are not enough of them.
We have agreed with Putin that we will buy Russian planes. Long-standing, already tested, good planes.
About the work of "Belavia"
In September 2025, the United States lifted sanctions from the Belarusian airline "Belavia". This means that the carrier can legally service its Boeing aircraft.
At the same time, the American administration left in force the ban on "Belavia" flights to Russia on American-made aircraft. The restrictions also apply to flights to Crimea, Donbass and other Russian regions.
