The scientific and production enterprise "Bresler" (Chuvash Republic, Cheboksary) has increased its production capacity of microprocessor-based relay protection and emergency control automation terminals by 1.6 times. This was reported in the press service of the Industrial Development Fund (IDF).
Bresler terminals are digital protection and automation devices designed for various types of substations and power plants.
The total investment in the expansion of production exceeded 250 million rubles. The company has installed a modern high-tech surface mounting line for electronic boards, a key element for microprocessor terminals.
Today, the degree of equipment wear and tear in the Russian electric power industry is about 50%. The industry's transition from electromechanical protection and automation devices to microprocessor-based devices creates a high demand for modern solutions.
The project also created a new testing laboratory equipped with a complex for testing electromagnetic compatibility and reference metrological equipment. This will allow for a nearly complete list of prototype tests and serial product control.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in Russia an innovative method for protecting power lines has been patented.
