The USC "Krasnoye Sormovo" plant in Nizhny Novgorod will be made the base shipyard for the construction of river-sea class cargo vessels based on the unified "Platform No. 1". This became known following the visit of USC General Director Andrey Puchkov to the enterprise.
The plant pays special attention to preparing for the launch of serial production, as well as organizing effective interaction between the shipyard and the design bureau.
Our ambitious task is to produce about 20 vessels of this class per year.
For this, the Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard will undergo modernization, which will ensure the transition to serial production using the large-block construction method.
The renovation of the enterprise provides for investments of about 7.5 billion rubles in the first stage. It includes equipment upgrades, major repairs and construction of infrastructure facilities, as well as the introduction of digital management technologies.
