Scientists from Moscow State University conducted a study on the perception of AI among Russians and in modern culture. It turned out that residents of the country positively assess artificial intelligence, treating it as a useful tool.
Respondents believe that neural networks contribute to improving the quality of life: they help in the diagnosis of diseases, ensure safety, provide personalized services and stimulate economic growth.
Of course, there are also negative opinions among the respondents. Russians are concerned about the loss of jobs due to automation, the use of AI in fraudulent schemes, as well as the fear of the "rise of the machines" described in films and literature.
Public reflection on artificial intelligence is becoming part of the culture. It is important that AI is discussed not only in professional circles, but also in the mass consciousness, where it correlates with basic values - security, freedom, identity. This suggests that artificial intelligence has already taken a firm place in the cultural context of modernity.
