Flight tests of the "Ionosond" space system with four "Ionosphere-M" satellites have been successfully completed. This was reported in the press service of the Roscosmos State Corporation.
The next stage is commissioning.
"Ionosond" is the first new Russian space complex for monitoring the geophysical environment and "space weather". It makes it possible to study fluctuations in electromagnetic fields, the composition of the Earth's atmosphere, the distribution of ozone in its upper layers, and to study the structure of the ionosphere.
The first pair of satellites of the "Ionosond" system was launched into orbit in 2024. Two more Ionosphere-M spacecraft were launched a year later.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian satellite "Ionosphere-M" No. 1 transmitted the first unique scientific data.
