Road cameras with artificial intelligence have begun to detect a new type of violation in Moscow. Drivers face a fine of 3 thousand rubles for it. This was reported in the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport.
Now cameras record the stopping of cars in places where it interferes with other road users. For example, in the case of blocking the exit from the parking lot or situations when the car makes it difficult for pedestrians to move. At the same time, there may be no prohibiting sign or corresponding markings at the place of stopping.
The violation detection system works in several stages. First, the camera records the stopping of the car in a disputed place and analyzes the duration and context of this stop. Then the data is transferred to the TsODD employee, who assesses whether the stop was forced. At the final stage, the materials are sent to the traffic police for verification and issuance of a resolution.
Cameras take pictures at one-minute intervals, and a stop of less than this time is not considered a violation. If there is a traffic jam on the road, such violations will not be recorded.
