The Russian main battle tank T-90 is "one of the best" in the world. This opinion was expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the results of military-technical cooperation with India. His words are quoted by the foreign publication India Today.
The author of India Today asked the head of state when India would receive the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) and the fifth-generation Su-57 multi-purpose fighter.
Putin avoided a direct answer. He recalled that the Indian Armed Forces are armed with many other models of Russian equipment.
India uses our other machines and airplanes. India also produces our T-90 tanks.
The Russian leader assured the journalist that the T-90 is a high-class combat vehicle. Indian designers have modernized the tank and produce it under the name Bhishma (for example, Bhishma Mk-3).
Putin also noted that Russian and Indian designers developed the BrahMos missile. It is now being produced at factories in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.
