T-90 series tanks are in demand among foreign buyers around the world. Over the past 25 years, Rosoboronexport has sold over a thousand of these combat vehicles of various modifications abroad, according to Dmitry Kalenichenko, Deputy General Director of Uralvagonzavod (UVZ, part of Rostec).
Over 25 years, UVZ has supplied 1.3 thousand T-90 tanks of various modifications abroad under export contracts.
The modern Russian T-90M "Proryv" tank has a number of advantages compared to older units, such as the T-80.
The key differences are in the thermal sight and fire control. The rangefinder of the "Proryv" works more accurately.
In addition, in the more modern version of the equipment, the commander has a command-duplicate, which allows him to also fire from the combat vehicle.
