The domestic brand Tenet, which was specially created for the Russian market, entered the top three in car sales in November. Over the last month of autumn, three times more crossovers of this brand were sold than Chery cars. A significant jump in sales was also demonstrated by the Belarusian Belgee and the Russian Solaris.
The Lada brand still ranks first in sales, with 27,416 cars sold. AvtoVAZ's sales decreased by 27.6% year-on-year, and its market share fell by 10 percentage points, amounting to 21%.
The most popular foreign brand remains Haval. It is assembled near Tula. Sales of these cars increased by 16%. In November, 18,000 "Haval" vehicles were sold. The Tenet brand (renamed Chery, which are assembled in Kaluga) sold 9,900 cars.
The Belarusian brand Belgee, which is very popular in Russia, was sold in November in the amount of 8,300 units. 4,100 Solaris cars (assembled in St. Petersburg) were sold.
In total, according to Avtostat, 127,921 new passenger cars were purchased in Russia in November, which is 5% more compared to last year. Compared to the previous month, the Russian car market showed a decrease of 23%.
