At the EDEX 2025 international defense exhibition in Cairo, the Russian company ZALA Aero Group, with the support of Rosoboronexport, showcased the export version of the Lancet-E reconnaissance and strike complex, which includes the Product 52E loitering munition.
The loitering munition is being demonstrated in an updated form. The range of the munition has been increased to 35 kilometers, and the duration of its presence in the air has almost doubled.
The Minister of Defense of Egypt, General Abdel Majid Saqr, showed particular interest in the Russian kamikaze drone. According to reports, he personally familiarized himself with the technical characteristics and combat capabilities of the complex, expressing interest in its potential use by the Egyptian armed forces.
EDEX-2025, taking place in the capital of Egypt, has become the largest defense exhibition on the African continent: over 400 companies from 86 countries are participating in the event. Russia traditionally presents advanced models of weapons and military equipment aimed at the export markets of the Middle East and Africa.
