A new modification of the Geran strike drones has appeared in the Russian army, capable of adjusting both the flight path and the target in real time. This development significantly increases the flexibility and tactical effectiveness of kamikaze drones on the modern battlefield.
The UAV operator can now change the target priority, select an alternative point of impact, or cancel the strike at any time until the final phase of the attack — for example, if civilian infrastructure is detected or the tactical situation changes.
Experts note that the drone is capable of autonomously processing data from onboard sensors, recognizing target types, and offering recommendations to the operator. This makes it not just a "flying bomb", but a full-fledged element of the reconnaissance and strike circuit.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Geran-2 drones began to be equipped with air-to-air R-60 missiles.
