The ship's trials began on November 27 and lasted five days.

"Kapitan Geller" became the first vessel in the series of project 170701 after the lead trawler "Kapitan Sokolov", which was handed over to the customer this year. These vessels are designed for catching cod, haddock, pollock, herring and other types of fish.

"Kapitan Geller" features a special Enduro Bow nose shape. This design feature of the vessel improves its seaworthiness, reduces the impact of oncoming waves, reduces hull icing and increases working space.
