AvtoVAZ will reduce Lada car production in Togliatti by 40%. In 2025, 274,000 cars will be assembled. This information was announced at a meeting of the Togliatti City District Duma.
The document states that the baseline scenario involves gradually increasing production volume to reach the 2024 level by 2028, when car production amounted to 456,300 vehicles. According to a more conservative scenario, about 265,000 cars will be assembled in 2026.
The estimated volume of shipped products from the car plant in 2025 will be 464.5 billion rubles, which is 27.7% less than in 2024. By 2028, an increase in shipments is expected: according to the conservative scenario, up to 559.8 billion rubles, and according to the baseline scenario, up to 766.4 billion rubles.
The Togliatti plant produces models such as Granta, Vesta, and the Niva family, including Niva Travel and Niva Legend. It also assembles the Aura business sedan and is launching production of the new budget-friendly Iskra family.
