More than 40 regions have experience in online voting in elections

We understand how difficult it is to form a pool of observers and draw up the necessary documents.

According to Budarina, the program could become a convenient tool for checking restrictions for observers. It is assumed that the software will be integrated with the System of Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction (SMEV, which allows authorities at various levels and credit organizations to exchange information to provide services to citizens).

About the DEG system

During her speech, the Secretary of the CEC spoke about the active use of the Remote Electronic Voting (DEG) system in Russia. Currently, 42 regions have such experience. In total, since 2019, almost 22 million Russians have voted online in elections.

Anyone can go to the portals to see how many people have signed up for DEG and what the turnout was.

Budarina noted that observers are monitoring the conduct of DEG. A special software and hardware complex is also responsible for monitoring the online voting system, she concluded.
