The "Modern Transport Technologies" Group of Companies has launched the production of the G 2.5 diesel engine at a plant in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the company's press service.
The company's workshops occupy 20,000 square meters. Production is fully automated.
Robotic systems move parts, automation assembles and controls parameters, and the MES system and machine vision are used for the accuracy of the production process.
Assembly robots work on 14 key operations. And to minimize human error, a "smart rack" system has been introduced: it highlights the desired part, simplifying the task for the operator.
The G 2.5 engine is available in several modifications with a power of up to 149.6 hp, compliant with the Euro-5 environmental standard. The engines differ in mounted equipment, the shape of the oil pan, and the maximum torque value.
The G51A version works in tandem with a 5-speed gearbox, while the G51B, G51C, and G51D are designed for 6-speed transmissions.
Engines with the index B are intended for Valdai 8 trucks, model C – for Gazelle NN and Sobol NN, and D — for Citymax 8 buses. In the near future, versions of the G 2.5 with a power of up to 190 hp will appear, compliant with the sixth environmental class, intended for special equipment and diesel generators.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a new series of 8483.10 "Etalon" engines was released at the TMZ enterprise.
