Since June 2025, 367 thousand people have been tested in the National IT Competency Confirmation System, launched by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation and the HeadHunter job search platform. This was announced by Dmitry Sergienkov, General Director of the service.
It turned out that only 86 thousand people were able to successfully confirm their IT skills. After passing the test, they were issued an electronic certificate from the Ministry of Digital Development.
About the National IT Competency Confirmation System
The beta version of the system was launched in February 2025. Wide functionality became available to Russians on June 1, 2025. Any citizen, regardless of education, can log in to the "Gosuslugi" portal and take a test on knowledge of programming languages, including C++, Python.

Where are IT specialists in demand?
The demand for IT specialists in Russia is not limited to specialized companies. IT specialists are also needed in the financial sector (10%), retail trade (7%), business services (6%), construction (4%).
