Разработана российская система сертификации IT-специалистов

New regulations will be unified for recognizing the quality of vendor products

The Russian Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises (APKIT) has announced the creation and approval of new regulations for the certification of vendor products from domestic IT specialists. APKIT, which includes giants such as VK, 1C, and Softline, will accredit vendor certification centers in various cities across Russia, studying and evaluating the content of their tests. It also undertakes obligations in resolving disputes between certification centers and developers.

It is assumed that the certification system from APKIT will help eliminate gaps in qualification assessment and improve the quality of training for the IT industry. However, the need for players to comply with all standards may lead to an increase in the cost of IT services in the Russian market. The implementation timeline for the certification is unknown, as it still needs to be recognized by the Ministry of Digital Development, but APKIT assures that not all mechanisms will be launched immediately, and there will be time to prepare for the new standards.

The Ministry of Digital Development is also concerned about how to verify the knowledge and qualifications of Russian IT professionals. The department has been working for a year on its own system for confirming the functional skills of IT specialists as part of the "Data Economy" project.
