Sales of road construction equipment in Russia decreased by 41.3% in the first nine months, according to the Rosspetsmash Association. Despite the significant drop, the pace has slowed down: in September, shipments decreased by 25.7% year-on-year, which is noticeably softer than the results of previous months.
Special equipment manufacturers do not yet see signs of stabilization and maintain cautious forecasts. However, market participants note a positive effect from the sale of seized leasing equipment stocks: this segment temporarily supports demand and partially compensates for the reduction in direct deliveries.
An additional impetus to the industry may be formed in the second half of 2026, when companies begin to update their fleet more actively. Analysts emphasize that the recovery will depend on whether it will be possible to maintain or increase budget expenditures on the construction and repair of roads — a key source of demand for heavy special equipment.
