Sergey Chemezov, head of the Rostec State Corporation, said that he expects high demand for the Yak-130 combat trainer aircraft. According to him, this unique machine is capable of performing a wide range of tasks.
It is equipped with a fairly large, powerful aviation armament. This is, in fact, a light attack aircraft that is armed with both air-to-surface and air-to-air missiles. That is, it can destroy both air and ground targets. Therefore, I think there may well be demand for such an aircraft.
In addition, Chemezov noted that the modernized version of the aircraft - Yak‑130M - has enhanced combat power and can be used to combat drones.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that the fifth-generation 177S engine for tactical aviation aircraft will bedemonstrated in the Middle East for the first time.
