The United Engine Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation will present the latest line of Russian power plants for the first time at the Dubai Airshow 2025 International Aviation and Space Exhibition.
Among the key premieres are the VK-650V aircraft engine for light helicopters and the fifth-generation 177S engine for tactical aviation.
177S, the latest aircraft engine, will be shown in the Middle East for the first time. It differs from previous generation solutions with increased thrust, increased service life and reduced fuel consumption in all operating modes.
Another important premiere will be the VK-650V, a fully Russian power plant for light helicopters, created using modern technologies and advanced materials. The engine demonstrates high specific characteristics, including low fuel consumption and increased service life of the main components, which allows it to be operated for a long time without repair. The take-off power is 650 hp, and in emergency mode - up to 750 hp.
In December 2024, the engine received a Russian type certificate. Flight tests of the VK-650V on the Ansat helicopter have already begun: in September, the import-substituted version of the machine took to the air for the first time with new power plants.
Also at Dubai Airshow 2025, companies from Russia will present the Supercam high-speed drone, Orlan-30 reconnaissance drones, a bundle of Kalashnikov drones SKAT-350M and UBB KUB-2E and various modifications of modern aircraft construction of Russia.
