Telephone scammers are becoming more sophisticated in their tricks. Beeline shared information about the most complex cases.
In Dagestan, criminals called the victim 26,000 times. The calls were made over three months. According to the operator, fraudulent calls were received three times: June 30, July 30, and August 30.
Other cases of fraudster attacks are no less large-scale. A subscriber from Penza became a victim of telephone scammers on June 12. His number received 22,850 calls from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. An operator's client from Moscow received 3,539 calls in just two hours on the same day.
Since the beginning of 2025, Beeline has blocked almost 3.5 billion calls from scammers and spammers. The main target audience of attackers is elderly people. 233 million calls were recorded addressed to customers over 65 years of age. Almost a third of all blocked calls were for this category of citizens.
