The Kolomna Plant (part of Transmashholding) intends to increase engine production from 500 to 750 units per year by 2028. The production includes diesel, gas-diesel, and gas-piston units used in diesel locomotives, ships, mining equipment, and power generation.
The company was visited by the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, the Assistant to the President — Chairman of the Marine Board of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District, Igor Shchegolev.

According to Nikolai Patrushev, the development of diesel engine construction is a key factor in fulfilling the large-scale tasks of the shipbuilding industry.
The plant produces engines with a capacity of up to 7350 kW for Russian Railways, the United Shipbuilding Corporation, BelAZ, and Rosatom. More than 300 students annually undergo practical training and remain to work at the enterprise as fitters, welders, and adjustment specialists.
