Aircraft Drinking Water Tanker Presented by Miass Plant "GIRD"

The unit transports, filters, and supplies drinking water to aircraft of various classes

The "GIRD" group of companies has developed a specialized machine for supplying drinking water to aircraft during pre-flight preparation. The machine is designed for transporting, storing, and supplying water to the onboard tanks of various classes of aircraft.

The Kamaz Compass 9 chassis was chosen as the base platform, capable of carrying up to 6 tons of payload and equipped with a Cummins ISF 3.8 diesel engine with a power of up to 168 hp and a mechanical six-speed gearbox with rear-wheel drive (4×2). This ensures maneuverability on the apron and ease of maintenance.

The machine's tanks are made of food-grade stainless steel. The volume of the tank for supplying drinking water is 2000 liters, the volume of the tank for draining is 1000 liters. Two pumps are installed on board for supplying and draining water; the length of each hose is 20 m. The built-in filtration system guarantees water quality, and the remote operator station allows you to control the volume and speed of refueling. The drainage of residues is carried out through a separate technical circuit, preventing the mixing of clean and used water.

The thermal insulation of pipelines and tanks allows the machine to be operated at low temperatures, which is especially important for Russian airports. The refueling hoses have standard connection interfaces, ensuring compatibility with most civil aircraft - from regional to medium-range airliners.

In the near future, the machine will undergo testing in an airport environment to confirm the efficiency and reliability of the new equipment.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a combined road machine based on the Valdai 33 dump truck was presented by Russian companies.
