In the capital of Myanmar, Naypyidaw, under the leadership of the head of the military regime and chairman of the State Administrative Council, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, a solemn ceremony was held to introduce three Russian Mi-38T helicopters into the country's air force.
Two of them are transport vehicles, and the third is made in a VIP version for transporting senior officials. The new helicopters received Myanmar tail numbers "60-10", "60-11" and "60-12".
Thus, Myanmar became the first foreign operator of the latest Mi-38 family helicopters, developed and built by the Kazan Helicopter Plant (part of the Russian Helicopters holding of the Rostec State Corporation).
According to reports, all three vehicles were delivered from Russia to Naypyidaw on September 22, 2025.
The contract for the supply of three helicopters was concluded back in January 2020, when Rosoboronexport announced the first deal with a foreign customer for the supply of the Mi-38T. Subsequently, it became known that we are talking about a country in Southeast Asia - as now confirmed, it turned out to be Myanmar.
The implementation of the contract was delayed due to the refinement of the helicopter and its TV7-117V engines, as well as political events in Myanmar itself.
Earlier www1.ru reported that ODK-Klimov continues to increase the production of modern helicopter engines VK-2500PS-03.
