Western main battle tanks Abrams and Leopard are inferior to Russian ones in maneuverability and maintainability due to the excessive amount of electronics inside. This was stated by the company commander of the repair and recovery battalion with the call sign Pero.
According to him, there is too much electronics in Western equipment, so it is difficult to repair them quickly.
It happens that due to some problems in the electrical circuit, for example, certain components and assemblies no longer work quite correctly.
Pero added that domestic tanks are favorably distinguished by high maneuverability compared to Abrams and Leopard.
On average, it takes about a week to repair damaged Russian tanks. Smaller repairs, involving the replacement of only a few units, such as side gearboxes, take a day or two.
