Specialists from the Center for Digital Expertise of Roskachestvo will check 14 domestic and foreign mobile games of the "match three" genre for manipulative mechanics. This was reported by the organization.
Roskachestvo plans to "uncover the cunning tricks by which developers force users to make rash purchases." For the study, experts selected the most popular games, including foreign hits Candy Crush Saga, Homescapes, Royal Match and Russian projects "Planet of Gems", "World of Gnomes".
In many "match three" games, if a user loses, they are offered to buy several moves to pass the level, the organization explained.
The player is imperceptibly drawn in and does not notice how he begins to pay. Moreover, Russian developers often simplify the payment process to the limit, using the "one-click" mechanism.
According to Kuzmenko, some games offer to debit funds from a mobile operator account. Thus, making rash payments becomes even easier, he concluded.
