The draft federal budget for 2026 and the planning period of 2027 and 2028 includes 590 amendments, some of which are aimed at supporting significant national projects for automation of production, digital transformation of the state, development of space activities, and unmanned aviation. This was announced by Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov at a government meeting.
44.6 billion rubles have been allocated to the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State," which will be used to create communication and broadcasting satellites for the state orbital group of civil designation in geostationary orbit. Part of the funds will go towards the production of six "Express" satellites by Roscosmos. In total, it is planned to replace eight geostationary satellites out of twelve by 2031, whose active lifespan expires in 2029-2036.
The national project "Development of Space Activities of the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030 and for the Future up to 2036" will receive an additional 5 billion rubles, intended for the purchase of remote sensing data of the Earth. This will allow state customers to solve their assigned tasks with data quality resolution of less than 1 meter.
More than 3 billion rubles have been allocated to the national project "Means of Production and Automation."
We will support Russian manufacturers of means of production and automation by providing buyers with discounts on the sale of products. This will allow the additional sale of more than 50 units of Russian machine tools, including those with numerical control, and more than 140 thousand units of tools.
2.6 billion rubles will be allocated to ensure the technological independence and global competitiveness of Russian unmanned aircraft systems in priority technology areas under the project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems."
