Russia has modernized the Geran-2 strike drones, making them completely invisible to electronic warfare (EW) equipment. This was reported by Reporter, citing foreign experts.
Engineers removed the CRPA antennas from the wings and moved them inside the fuselage. Now it is simply impossible to suppress the operation of navigation antennas using electronic warfare equipment.
Also, experts have modernized strike drones several times, increasing their speed, increasing the warhead and the ability to counter electronic warfare suppression equipment.
For example, the Gerani-2 received a thermal imaging homing head (seeker) and a video link, thanks to which they can capture even moving targets in the target designator and dive sharply at them.
