In November 2025, Avtonovosti Dnya presented a rating of the most inexpensive new cars in Russia. It included ten models with prices up to 1.7 million rubles, including seven domestic and three Chinese cars, one of which is assembled in Russia.
Lada Granta leads the list - the basic version of the sedan without airbags costs from 750 thousand rubles. The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 90 hp and a mechanical transmission. The standard equipment includes power steering, front power windows, heated mirrors and audio preparation.
In second place is the Lada Niva Legend - an SUV with a 1.7-liter 83-horsepower engine and all-wheel drive, the starting price of which is 1.06 million rubles. The third in the ranking is Lada Iskra with a price of 1.25 million rubles for a basic sedan with a 90-horsepower engine and a 5-speed manual transmission.
The fourth place is occupied by Lada Niva Travel (from 1.315 million rubles), and BAIC U5 Plus (from 1.395 million rubles) closes the top five, which became the most affordable foreign sedan in the country. It is assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad.
The second five include:
- Lada Vesta - from 1.46 million rubles;
- JAC JS3 - from 1.55 million rubles;
- UAZ "Hunter" - from 1.65 million rubles;
- Lada Largus - from 1.66 million rubles;
- Livan X3 Pro - from 1.67 million rubles.
Thus, among the ten most affordable cars, six models are domestic Lada, three belong to Chinese brands (BAIC, JAC and Livan), as well as one - the legendary UAZ.
