Lavochkin Association has given up waiting for the completion of the reconstruction of the mechanical assembly production for the production of spacecraft and has already received a bank guarantee for the disruption of work. The construction company "Universal SK" (which was engaged in the reconstruction of the enterprise's production buildings) failed in an attempt to challenge the payment of a bank guarantee of 183 million rubles by Realist Bank to Lavochkin Association.
On October 17, 2025, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region ruled that Lavochkin Association has every right to the payment, since the company "Universal SK" never modernized the mechanical assembly building for 644 million rubles. The facility was scheduled to be commissioned back in 2021.
The project involved improving production facilities. This was supposed to increase productivity by 3-5 times and processing accuracy by 5-8 times.
By the beginning of 2024, only three of the 35 stages of work had been completed at the facility. In February 2024, Lavochkin Association was forced to terminate the contract with Universal SK unilaterally.
Universal SK stated that they were ready to fulfill all the terms of the contract on time, but Lavochkin Association regularly made changes to the documentation. The court considered these arguments insignificant and recognized that the changes did not affect the fulfillment of obligations.
According to estimates, the cost of work performed under the contract amounted to 293 million rubles, and 381 million rubles were physically paid. Lavochkin Association is also demanding 11 million rubles in a separate proceeding.
Representatives of Universal SK consider the amount of the bank guarantee to be inflated. If Realist Bank demands payment from them, the company's losses from participating in the project may exceed 100 million rubles.
