Vehicle inspection prices to increase in 2026 in several Russian regions

Regions are already actively preparing for tariff indexation

From 2026, vehicle inspection prices are expected to increase in some Russian regions. The relevant information was published on the pravo.gov.ru portal.

In the Amur Region, the tariff for inspecting passenger cars will increase from 1,806 to 1,855 rubles from January 1. In the Jewish Autonomous Region, the cost will rise from 1,209 to 1,324 rubles, in the Rostov Region — from 1,098 to 1,203 rubles, in the Chelyabinsk Region — from 1,097 to 1,201 rubles, and in Mordovia and the Tyumen Region — from 1,097 to 1,201 rubles and from 1,096 to 1,200 rubles, respectively. There is no information on the remaining regions yet.

As a reminder, owners of passenger cars are required to undergo a vehicle inspection when re-registering cars older than four years and when making structural changes. More than 5.4 million diagnostic cards are issued annually based on the inspection results. The methodology for setting vehicle inspection prices is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).
