Vladivostok will begin using wheel clamps on cars whose owners leave their cars in paid parking lots with removed license plates. During tests, this method of blocking cars proved its effectiveness, city authorities said.
First of all, this measure will affect car owners who leave cars without license plates in paid parking lots.
Currently, a bill that involves the installation of such devices is being considered by the regional government. The legal and technical nuances of organizing the process are also being worked out.
If the amendments are approved, employees of "Digital Primorye" will begin identifying cars without license plates in the city, recording each violation in a photo. After that, they will call specialists to install the blocker. Drivers will be informed about the blocking via a message on the windshield.
When installing a blocker, the driver will need to contact the Unified Dispatch Service of Vladivostok, waiting for an employee of the city administration, who will draw up a protocol on the violation and remove the device.
