The project implementation will meet the needs of East African countries

A large-scale assembly plant for Ural vehicles is planned to be established in Uganda, according to the Russian Ambassador to Uganda, Vladlen Semivolos.

These issues were discussed at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, which took place in Kampala on October 7-8.

Among the specific projects approved at the meeting, it is worth noting the plans of our countries' companies to create a large-scale assembly plant for Ural vehicles in Uganda to meet the needs of East African countries.

The parties also discussed many issues of cooperation in various fields (trade, industry, financial and banking sector, energy, geology, agriculture, construction, transport, education, and healthcare). Following the meeting, a protocol was signed outlining specific areas of trade and industrial cooperation for the future.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Ural Automobile Plant presented a shift bus and a truck-mounted aerial platform at COMvex-2025.
