The "Kalashnikov" concern has sent a large batch of high-precision 7.62-mm SV-98 sniper rifles to the customer as part of a state contract for 2025. The delivery of the product was completed exactly on time, the company noted.
The rifle was developed for special forces units and law enforcement agencies in order to engage the enemy with aimed fire at ranges up to 1,000 m.
Kalashnikov clarified that the SV-98, when using 7N1 and 7N14 sniper cartridges, is characterized by high accuracy of fire due to the free-floating barrel.
The SV-98 is equipped with a device for flameless and low-noise firing, as well as night and optical sights mounted on the receiver thanks to the Picatinny rail.
In addition, the rifle is equipped with backup mechanical sights, a pistol grip made of impact-resistant polymer, and a buttstock with adjustable cheek, butt plate, and rear support.
