The Moskvich plant intends to start large-node assembly of a new M70 car model by the end of 2025. The first units are planned to be assembled in December 2025.
Sales should start in early 2026.
Rolf has won the tender for two locations to sell the new crossover model. As part of the project, a separate legal entity will be created and a dealer agreement will be signed.
The Moskvich plant is also considering the possibility of localizing the production of the seven-seater M90 crossover.
The Moskvich plant has been owned by Renault since 1998. In March 2022, it left the market and closed the enterprise. The Renault Russia plant was transferred to the management of the Moscow government. The enterprise was renamed to Moskovsky Avtomobilny Zavod Moskvich JSC.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Moskvich 6 and Moskvich 8 will be assembled using the large-node assembly method.
