The Russian Manipulator Company (RMK) — the only manufacturer of industrial manipulators and load-gripping mechanisms in the country — has presented an innovative flask tilter. It is designed for tilting or turning flasks (molding boxes) when extracting castings and models in foundry production. This was reported by the press service of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg.
The specialized load gripping device for flasks of various shapes can also be used in machine-building industries. The universal equipment is suspended on various types of cranes.
The new RMK tilter is an innovative solution with no analogues in terms of precision and versatility.
The RMK product features smooth tilting and a "from the floor" operation function without stands. The system has been tested and implemented at one of the largest machine-building concerns in the Russian Federation.
The flask tilter is necessary for separating the model and the half-mold after pouring and cooling. In addition, the load gripping device is used to move the molding box inside the workshop or to the warehouse.
