The cult shooter DOOM has been launched in the Russian office suite "R7 Office". This was reported to journalists by representatives of the company.
The game functions through a JavaScript-emulator DOS, built into the editors using the plugin system. The project is based on open plugins VNexus and TheDoggyBrad Software Labs.
The developers adapted the size of the game window and updated the interface, while maintaining the original 1993 gameplay. In addition to DOOM, the plugin includes the arcade game Last Spartan and the puzzle game 2048. According to the developers of the office suite, this experiment is a prime example of the technical flexibility of "R7 Office".
The DOOM phenomenon is manifested in the fact that enthusiasts often run the game on various devices, from Microsoft Excel to pregnancy tests and microwave ovens. This makes the cult game a kind of "standard" for testing the capabilities of software environments.
