The Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad presented a pre-production version of the BAIC BJ40 CNG SUV at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. This was reported by the company's press service.
BAIC BJ40 CNG is a pre-production version of an SUV powered by natural gas, produced under industrial production conditions. The installed CNG kit provides a range of 170 km.
BAIC BJ40 is designed for operation in regions with extreme climates. Gas is used as fuel. This reduces costs.
The car is equipped with three type one gas cylinders, each with a volume of 28 liters. They are located in the luggage compartment niche.
The gas cylinder equipment (GBO) kit includes a CNG reducer, a fuel rail, a gas filter, an electronics kit, a refueling device and automatic cylinder valves.
