«Moskvich-2140» turned into an IFV with a 2A28 «Grom» gun: the ingenuity of the military never ceases to amaze

Russian military personnel have turned the Soviet «Moskvich-2140» into an improvised infantry fighting vehicle (IFV). Footage of the amazing system has gone viral on the Web.

In the photo, you can see a sedan without the rear part of the roof and windows. An облегченную tower from the BMP-1 — 2A28 «Grom» was installed on the stern of an improvised pickup truck based on a civilian car.

Armed with a 73-millimeter gun, the vehicle can be used as equipment for fire support.

«Grom» is capable of firing cumulative and high-explosive fragmentation projectiles. The aiming range is 1.3 km, the maximum is 4.4 km.

Also, «Первый технический» talked about the most protected tracked armored vehicle. Craftsmen hung it with a conveyor belt, hanging almost to the ground itself. A reinforced lattice structure with steel chains was installed on top of it.
