In August 2025, sales of crossovers and SUVs in Russia reached 88,896 units. This represents 72.7% of the total sales of new passenger cars, according to the "Autostat" agency. It is claimed that this is a new historical record.
The previous maximum was 71.8%. For the first time, the share of cars of this class exceeded 70% in December 2023, amounting to 70.7%.
