Fraudsters have begun to massively create fake Telegram channels of popular bloggers. There, they offer to invest or purchase courses, according to Alla Khrapunova, an expert at the "People's Front. Analytics" direction.
The mass creation of fake Telegram channels of famous bloggers is a well-known problem, but unfortunately, there are no ways to protect against it yet.
Khrapunova emphasized that in this situation, channel subscribers are at risk, as fraudsters automatically add them to their groups. The deception occurs as follows: among the blogger's usual posts, a tempting offer to invest or purchase courses suddenly appears.
All Telegram users need to enable protection against being added to groups by unknown subscribers. This will protect against such thefts.
Earlier it became known that even on dating sites, scammers use various methods to mislead people and obtain their money or personal data. They skillfully play on human feelings, such as the desire for love and the fear of loneliness.
