Aviastar (part of the United Aircraft Corporation) in Ulyanovsk has been tasked with increasing the production rate of Il-76 aircraft, according to the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, Alexey Russkikh.
According to him, Minsk Plant No. 407 and the 558th Aviation Repair Plant are already supplying components for the aircraft.
There is a task to increase the production of IL-76 aircraft, so any assistance in the manufacture of parts and assemblies for Ulyanovsk enterprises is needed.
To solve this problem, the management of PJSC "Aviastar" concluded a contract with the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus on the sidelines of the "Innoprom. Belarus" exhibition.
Meanwhile, in Russia, they are already building the Il-76MD-90A modification — a modernization of the Il-76MD. The aircraft is designed for the transportation and parachute landing of military equipment, cargo, and personnel.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that ODK will provide round-the-clock maintenance of PD-8 and PD-14 for airlines.
