Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) will transfer the latest MAZ-GTe electric garbage truck for trial operation to the territory cleaning company "ZMK Ecology of the City." This was announced by Oksana Mikheeva, Deputy Director of Marketing at the plant, on the sidelines of the International Industrial Exhibition "Innoprom. Belarus."
The MAZ-GTe on a 6x2 chassis is equipped with a rear loading system for solid municipal waste (MSW). For the convenience of the operator, a folding design of the rear tailgate has been developed (convenient when loading bulky garbage). The waste unloading process can be controlled from the cab or remotely using a remote control.
Features of the MAZ-GTe garbage truck:
- Silent operation
- Maximum mass of loaded MSW — 10 t
- Compaction ratio — 1:8, pressing time — 25 sec.
- Electric motor power — 150 kW
- Range — 200 km
- Full charging cycle — 4.5-6 hours
- Lithium iron phosphate battery capacity — 256 kWh
- Electric windshield heating
The garbage truck is unique in that the developers have implemented an onboard "black box" in it. The device records and analyzes the operation of the MAZ-GTe.
