AvtoVAZ has launched a campaign to install «ERA-GLONASS» for free on Lada Vesta cars manufactured in 2021–2022. The emergency response system will be installed on about 22 thousand cars.
Between October 2021 and April 2022, the company experienced a shortage of components. Therefore, cars rolled off the assembly line without the «ERA-GLONASS» system. At that time, this was permitted by the current regulations.
The cars will receive a control unit to call emergency services. Car owners will be notified of the need for retrofitting through dealerships.
To find out if a specific Lada Vesta falls under the program, it is enough to check the VIN code on the Rosstandart website.
Car owners can already contact the nearest service center to install the equipment.
