The transition from Vladivostok to the shores of Kamchatka became the final stage of naval training for future officers. For several months, cadets underwent training and drills, honing the skills necessary for service on ships and submarines. They participated in navigational watches, studied the ship's structure, mastered damage control techniques, and performed other tasks provided for by the naval training program.

Naval training on the training ship "Smolny" is considered an important part of the training of future naval officers. It allows cadets to gain valuable experience that will help them in their future service. The acquired knowledge and skills will become a reliable basis for the successful mastering of the profession of a naval sailor and the performance of tasks to protect the maritime borders of Russia.

The ship left Kronstadt on June 26 and covered about 23,000 nautical miles as part of this voyage. It visited the ports of Malabo in Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe in Central Africa, the Republic of the Congo, Cape Town in the Republic of South Africa, and Dar es Salaam in the United Republic of Tanzania. In addition, "Smolny" made calls at the Vietnamese port of Cam Ranh and the capital of the Primorsky Territory — Vladivostok.
