The Ural Automobile Plant plans to begin mass production of newly designed drive axles with a lifespan of up to 1 million kilometers in January 2026. The units will be intended for Ural, KamAZ, MAZ and GAZ trucks.
In May, two sections for processing axles, drums and hubs began operating at the plant. It is planned to launch another 11 production sites by the end of the year.
Additionally, in August, a project was launched to create its own foundry complex with an area of 46 thousand square meters, which will provide a full cycle of import substitution of castings for drive axles. The company's capacity will be 45 thousand tons of cast iron castings per year.
In May, a new assembly complex was also opened with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Its launch will increase the production of Ural vehicles by more than 5.5 thousand vehicles per year.
