A new application called "Zosima" has been released, which is positioned as an Orthodox messenger. According to the privacy policy, the service will collect and process a wide range of personal data of users, including information about income, property, places of work and military service.
Registration in "Zosima" is possible via email, VKontakte account or through the "Gosuslugi" portal. The latter method allows the application to access user information, including passport data, TIN, SNILS number, registration and residence addresses, marital status, property status and data on family members. The service can also track the location of users.
The developers claim that they will not collect information about race, nationality, political views, religious or philosophical beliefs, or intimate life. At the same time, data may be transferred to third parties only in cases provided for by federal law.
The application is still in the early stages of development: the "news", "books", "events", "map" and other sections do not function. Inside the messenger, the developers point to the possibility of adding information such as weather or reminders.
"Zosima" collects much more data than usual social networks, including information about military service and income.
Representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church told Gazeta.ru that they were not aware of the launch of the application and did not participate in its discussion.
